Supporting schools
With two decades of teaching experience, I know how schools work and know that coaching offers huge benefits in an education setting. I am highly skilled in engaging groups in the classroom, mentoring individual pupils and working with teachers on their career and personal development.
Group coaching offers tools and hot-seat coaching to help pupils work out who they are as they face life decisions ahead. I look at values, personality types, strengths, achievements and interests, all of which help pupils make informed choices. We do visualisation exercises, gratitude practices and stress management techniques to build habits that can last a lifetime.
Group coaching with staff can offer the chance to re-evaluate priorities, values and strengths so individually they can become more self-aware and more purposeful about the future.
Also 1:1 coaching creates time and space for pupils who need extra support and guidance, and for staff looking to gain clarity on life or career issues.
I have a BA degree from Durham University, PGCE qualification and hold a clear DBS check. I am a qualified coach.

Focus
It begins with a conversation about your needs as a school; whether they are pupil-focused, staff-focused or both. Working out your focus and where I can add value allows me to tailor-make a package to bring to you.
-
Group coaching
I offer small group coaching (max. 8 per group) to both pupils and staff. This can be a one-off session or a series of sessions depending on your requirements. There are some taught elements, some reflective practice and a chance to experience some 1:1 coaching.

1:1 coaching
Individual coaching can be offered as a benefit to staff and pupils. Time and space to consider options can be invaluable in helping individuals move forward in areas in which they feel stuck or confused. This can help pupils with choices about the future and staff in career development.
5-week group coaching course
Combining my experience as a teacher, coach, mother of young adults and running my own business, I have designed a 5-week group coaching programme for young people.
The transition from 5th to 6th Form can feel daunting. Many feel anxious about the subject choices they have made and the decisions ahead of them for university courses and the range of other options available.
Coaching techniques offer a way to move pupils forwards with a growth mindset and a deeper realisation of their individual values and preferences. This “Group Coaching” Course is designed to equip pupils to address the choices they face with confidence, visualise their future and fulfil their potential.
The thematic content of the course takes pupils on a journey, helping them to become aware of their individual mindsets, limiting self-beliefs, values, strengths, core skills and abilities. The sessions invite pupils to engage with their options, identify areas for development and how best to achieve their goals. Sessions involve individual exercises, set alongside some collaborative work between pupils and the offer of ‘hotseat’/’spotlight’ 1:1 coaching to personalise course content.
